So if you're familiar with the high air event at any of these Vans events, you basically know that it's a battle between Tom Dugan and Larry Edgar. Well, Tom broke his hand in qualifying. So it was basically Larry's to lose in a sense, but even with Chris James and Pat Casey gunning for him, Larry put on one hell of a show. No measuring tape necessary for this one...he's the reigning champ.
Twenty of the baddest dudes on the planet had three chances to make the an overall impression. With the win, the overall championship, and 50k on the line...this was definitely the best event in Huntington yet. Check the highlights.
Women's BMX has been gaining momentum for years, but this feels like the culmination of a lot of hard work for these ladies. I'm fairly certain that this is the first major event to ever have a paid women's class in the states and women from around the world came to take part of this historical session in an epic bowl at the Vans BMX Pro Cup.
Soooo, even though this video ended up being way longer than expected, I'd consider this a light version of Bullshittin'. More half bullshittin' and half practice edit, since I really only filmed this over a two hour practice session yesterday. It's been a busy week and I just didn't have time to get to any other sessions, sorry. Nonetheless, there's definitely some gems in this. Qualifying went down this morning.
